    Rays of Hope!

Twirling banners dancing in the sunlight

    shimmering joyfully across rolling greens

dazzling colours and lights so bright.

Delicious feats of rice and beans

shouts of joy echoing in the morning sky

bare-footed children running wild on grass

    choreographed clouds floating up high.

Lost souls engraved in our hearts but alas

the hearts rejoice the rebirth of freedom,

the return of smiles, the air of peace.

with castles of hope and kingdoms of love.

    Humanity united at long last

the bloody wars have finally ceased

with lingering shadows of the past

and many loved ones now deceased.

Hiya Randa! You know, I just realized the last time I was here I failed to comment on this poem.

It is extraordinary, definitely one of your best that I have seen! Bright and hopeful, as poems written by a young lady should be.

Well done my friend! Very well done indeed!

    Here I am again, Randa...

    I wanted to read your poem again. It's Memorial Day here in the US. We remember and honor our war dead;
many of us also pray for the ending of hostilities so no more lives must be lost to war.
Many have been praying for a long, long time.
I also pray that the violence will stop in your country and every country where our young ones face
losing the wonderful future which is their birthright.
    Please be safe.
    Always,

    What a beautiful dream, Randa:

    "...Humanity united at long last

How we all long for this. Your poem expresses the long-sought joy and celebration of peace which continues to elude us.
May it come to us soon.

    Please be safe.
